Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions:

Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla; mix well. Add flour and pecans; chill for 3-4 hours.

Shape in ball or fingers. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven (325 degrees F) about 20 minutes. Cool slightly and roll in confectioner’s sugar. Makes 3 dozens.
